Cliffside Residence | Private House Architecture
Grounded in the Mediterranean landscape of Maroni, Cyprus, this 800m² private residence is shaped by a clear architectural logic, where built form and terrain are carefully aligned.
For this project, we approached the house as an extension of the cliff itself, embedding part of the structure into the mountain while allowing key volumes to open toward uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean. The architecture follows a restrained, tactile language, defined by clean lines, natural materials, and controlled openings, where local stone, timber, and subtle references to Cypriot tradition introduce texture and depth. Light plays a central role, filtering through expansive glazing and shaded outdoor spaces to create a soft transition between interior and exterior. Guided by principles of sustainability and simplicity, the result is a home that feels calm, balanced, and quietly connected to its surroundings.
